First of all I would like to welcome everyone to the Hazy Mind 3D Game Development Forums. This is a place not only to discuss the Hazy Mind game engine itself, but also simply to talk about 3D game development in general. If you have any questions, concerns, forum requests, or other related issues, don't hesitate to send me a message at mike@thehazymind.com.

Happy Coding!

Great tutorials looking forward to seeing more. Honestly they helped me get a foothold in my own engine development.

Wow, thank you thank you thank you, Mike.  I've been trying to get into DirectX for so long, but I've never been able to find tutorials that cater to my style or skill level, but yours are superb.  I look forward to seeing more tutorials in the future and look forward to using this website as my launchpad into the world of indie game development.

Speaking of launchpad into indie game development. One of my roommates does 3D modelling in Blender, and was wondering about putting some of his own tutorials and things up on here as well. What does everyone think of having sections for 3D modelling and other related fields such as texture generation, shaders (exclusively shader theory instead of in the context of the engine) and game music and sound production? I can't promise anything but the modelling tutorials right now (once he gets good enough to teach others his skill), but input on need for the other types would be good as well.

I would absolutely love to see some tutorials for modeling in Blender.  I was interested in the program a while back, but I had a shortage of time and honestly, that interface can be daunting to newcomers.  I know I would read and use any tutorials posted on the topic of modeling.

I'd love shader theory. It's the one thing that's hard to find unless you buy a book on the subject.

The Z-Man did a really nice webcast on basic shaders and how they work. As for shader theory, a good tutorial would be great, if you want extra resources, there is a ton of theory on the Nvidia and moreso on the ATI developer websites. Also the X series shader programming books have excerpts of shader topis on their webpages. These books are considered tops for shader theory.
