Hi Friends,

I need to avoid placing all the things into one big source. So I'd like to place
the different elements into separate modules.

Ideally, I would like a separate .java file for each module: tile engine, vm and graphics.

so, I'm confused about that how I could do that. Could anybody give me any hints or tips on
how to do this ?

also i'd like to tell you that I'm working with Net Beans but Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Not sure about this is the right category or forum but your answers would be helpful.

Thanks,
Jay

Probably not the right forum as we mostly deal with C# here, but there may be someone around who can answer a java related question. I don't have much experience with NetBeans, but you will probably need to make sure and place the different parts of your engine into different namespaces and then add a build option to put each namespace in its own file.

You could possibly accomplish that through multiple projects in NetBeans, but like I said I don't have much experience with it so I wouldn't know for sure.
